I first met Sonya when I joined WW after years of yoyo dieting. As my coach, she encouraged, guided and supported me and I lost 63lbs.

Then we went into lockdown and WW meetings were closed. I really struggled to keep the weight off and slowly but surely it went back on.
When I saw that Sonya had opened her new businesswith her friend Jackie, I didn’t hesitate to join up on Friday morning in Loughborough. I like the freedom of not having to follow any particular plan. I’ve learned how to control my eating and to make better choices.
I’m now a Diamond member, I’ve lost 45lbs and feel confident that I can keep it off.
I still come to meetings, I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the support I get, and I’m still picking up new tips on how to stay healthy.

Hi everyone for those who may not know me, I’m Tracey. I have been on my journey with Jackie since April 2016 when we were following the Weight Watchers plan.

Before doing so I really didn’t know how big I had gotten or how much weight I had put on. I had, had 3 children so being a mum and wife I just got on with life as it was. I started up Salsa dancing which was recommended by friends of mine and really enjoy it to this day. They have Salsa parties and lessons, so it was really nice to just get out and be me rather than mum all the time. As you can imagine with regards to the parties you dressed up. It wasn’t until I took a photo of myself and looked at how much weight and how big I had gotten that my confidence went downhill and said to myself “This is it, I need to do something about it”. That’s when I went to Jackie for help.
During my first few weeks of joining, I lost a couple of pounds a week sometimes 3 or 4, everyone was and still are, very supportive, friendly and congratulated you on your losses, which in return boosted your confidence. Sometimes it wasn’t all that easy, and you would put on a pound or two but that made you more determined to try better and get your mindset and goal back on track. By July/August 2016 I had reached my Goal Weight and lost 2 and a half stone. I managed to stay at Goal for about 2-3 years with a few gains along the way but pulled it back.
Then in 2019-2020 unfortunately COVID hit, but we still had the support from Jackie on Zoom. But this wasn’t the same, we were in lockdown. We couldn’t go out only to shop for food, some couldn’t even do that. During this time, I started to put the weight back on and boy did I notice. No matter what I did nothing worked, my head was not the same and wasn’t in the mind frame.
Jackie and her friend and colleague Sonya created their new business and on the 23rd June 2021opened its doors with Jackie at the helm in Ashby. Meetings were opened with obvious restrictions (now lifted) in place. My first weigh in I had put 2 stone back on, I was horrified. I continued on my new journey with the help and support of Jackie and her team. I tried everything from different plans and exercise, one week I would lose the next I’d gain, it did nothing but yo-yo all the time. I was hit quite hard with illnesses one after the other, stress of family life and losses of dear friends and family, it was tough going and my head and mind was everywhere.
A year had almost come after first joining with Jackie atand I found an App on my iPhone to do with calorie counting which I started to use in May 2022. I thought “Come on what have I got to lose let’s give it ago”.
So, on 22nd June 2022 the 1st year Birthday Celebration ofI had gotten to my first 7lb loss in over 2 years. Since that day I have lost each week.
Today (24th August 2022) I have lost a total of 20 and a half pounds and need to lose 1 and a half to get to my Goal weight. Without the support and help of Jackie and her team I wouldn’t be back to my confident and happy self, and for this I am truly grateful.
I am delighted to share that on the 14th of September I became a Diamond Member.

I really enjoy going to Sonya’s
Tim (Loughborough)meetings every Saturday morning. I never worry if I’ve had a bad week as there is never any judgement only motivation and encouragement to continue my journey.
Everyone is very friendly and supportive, and I can have a coffee and a chat.
Sonya’s talks (after getting weighed) are extremely motivational and have inspired me to lose weight and persevere.
To date I have lost 21 pounds.
