This article stems from an in-person meeting that we recently held. It certainly created lots of talking points and for several members they have used this strategy in team building at work.
Welcome to the overview of character strengths, look out for future articles that explore each group in greater depth .
There are 24 character strengths that fall into 6 categories and every human has them no matter where they live or what they do…….

We all have these 24 strengths in various amounts – some come more naturally to us, whilst others we can work on.
So what are your best bits?
Using these strengths, can increase our happiness long term and research has shown us that when we utilise our top strengths, we are more successful in whatever area of our lives we choose. It’s really interesting that if the desire to acquire either a new skill, hobby or lifestyle change is important enough we will do whatever it takes to achieve it, it basically comes back down to HOW BADLY YOU WANT TO!!
Take a minute to have a look at the list, which ones do you identify with? Try not to over think it just choose what jumps out. We are all different so we do have different strengths and weaknesses knowing them can have a massive impact on your drive and motivation.
If the prize or achievement is something you want above anything else then you will work hard to make it happen, for example if you were taking driving lessons the ultimate aim is to pass your test and be independent. Imagine now, there is no test, you will never pass or be independent….what’s the point!!
This really is YOUR REASON WHY! why do you want to embark on this journey, what will you gain from losing? How will you keep the momentum going? Is it going to be worth it? Only you have all the answers, our meetings will help you to stay focused, supported and inspired.
Don’t forget that success is 10% ability and 90% attitude

Definitely something to think about, and how true is Edison’s quote.
