I’m talking snacks……
Ask yourself the following….
- When
- What
- Why

It might be worth asking the question Why first? Is it hunger? Is it need? Is it that you aren’t satisfied?
It’s also worth looking in depth at the What we snack on, it does often tend to be high carbohydrate.
The other question is When. Are you a mid morning snacker? Biscuits? Mid afternoon? Waiting for your evening meal? Evenings?
In this modern world of plenty, could it be that we have stopped listening to our body and to the signals we should be listening to, for example being full? Are we back to NEED OR GREED? (Need or Greed… ) it’s in the house and it’s mine so I’m having it!!!
If you do want to continue snacking on exactly the foods you are having now. Then you will need to adjust your 3 meals a day to allow for them. If you don’t want to adjust your meals, it should come as no surprise that your weight won’t adjust either.
Many of our in meeting members are seeing great success on the scales by taking out snacking completely.
This doesn’t mean that they are going without, simply choosing to make their meals more complete to meet both mental and physical satisfaction.
Many of us do say if they weren’t in the house we wouldn’t have a problem! Going back to our childhood, what snacks were available? Did we manage without them? Were we starving? Deprived? Obviously not, and neither will we be if we do minimise the levels we are eating.
It is interesting to note that the members who have cut them out, regularly save £10.00 – £15.00 a week!! As well as feeling healthier, lighter, sleeping better. In fact their overall wellbeing is 100%. Worth a try????
Depending on what they are, our habits will either make us or break us. We become what we repeatedly do

Snacking is definitely my downfall. I noticed this on holiday – because we were in a hotel, we didn’t have ready access to snacks!! This post has made me realise it’s time to give them up!
