All too often we rely on a wing and a prayer to give us the results we claim to so desperately crave, in fact, at the start of our journey we are often prepared to do whatever it takes to give us that success.
As time moves on it can be so easy to let the little unhelpful habits and behaviours creep back in, often so subtle we’re not even aware that they have become part of our normal everyday life.
The results start to slow down and your weight losses may even stop. Instead of throwing it all away, now is the time to get out your food diary, as Mentors at
it’s the first thing we ask for, not so you can be judged, it helps you take back control and enables you to see for yourself exactly what has changed!
If you had saved your first week’s food diary and compared it to one further along the journey you would be quite shocked at the differences.
That’s why it is so important to attend your weekly meetings, to discuss what’s working, what is challenging, and what solutions we can come up with the will help.
In fact all it takes is to remind yourself of WHY you started, the BENEFITS you have felt, the increased HEALTH REWARDS, the HIGHER SELF ESTEEM and CONFIDENCE you have enjoyed.
Also the remembering exactly how you felt before beginning this journey because if you stop then its all waiting for you again.
If you want to enjoy all the amazing pleasures that come from being in control, liking how you look and feel, you will need to come to terms with the simple fact that this IS a lifestyle change, not because you HAVE to, but because you WANT to. This is not a punishment to be endured, this is an opportunity to live your best life!
Hoping and praying for success, with little or no effort on your part will never work, it never has before so why would this time be any different. Take action and be proactive, not destructive. Stop waiting for a miracle, be the miracle!!
If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got.

This is so true! How many of us (me included) have had that extra wee before our weigh-in or had a “lighter lunch” or none on the weigh-in day. That extra cup of tea on the afternoon might make all the difference too when really if we had planned our eating all week we would have lost or stayed the same.

So true I’m always hoping for a miracle, if I could just wake up thin then I’d stick to it. “Be the miracle” I love it 🤩

It certainly is a life-time change if you want to keep the results, not a short-term quick fix diet.

Omg this is so true of me sometimes.. and when it doesn’t work, that’s when I try to get serious again..I think it’s easy to get complacent some times when things are working, and that’s when the bad habits creep back in xx

This has been me for a while – I even say to myself “you’ve not even tried so why are you expecting to lose weight”. Well now I am trying so let’s see what happens!!
