It’s all in the mind….

A successful member is one who knows that this journey will be full of challenges, hurdles, U-turns, roundabouts, as well as long stretches of clear roads where good progress can be made. Ultimately, most of us know that ANY journey will be full of the above, but still we embark on the journey. Whatever it may bring…..

In all honesty, there must be a reason you decided to go on any journey, it’s not often because you had time to kill, fancied a change, YOU had a valid reason WHY you embark on ANY journey, and your reason WHY is one of your most powerful motivators.

To be successful long term at changing your life for a happier and healthier one you need to always focus on WHY you want it. It is also accepting that with a positive outlook the journey will be so much smoother!!

Thinking differently about the challenges on route can help to organise your thoughts, prepare for the challenges and have tactics to hand to overcome them. Your thoughts are important because if all you focus on is the negative aspects, you’ll never even get started.

The prospect of doing anything different could be seen as daunting, but if you never have a go, you’re never going to know!

When you consider the many famous people for example Christopher Columbus, Ferdinand Magellan, Francis Drake, Amelia Earheart, Marco Polo, David Livingstone, The Wright Brothers, Alexander Graham Bell, James Cook, the list is endless, if they had listened to the naysayers, and questioned themselves to the point they gave up and never tried… where would we be!!!

If you believe you can’t you won’t, but if you challenge that thought and then make it “HOW CAN I” anything is possible. They did and so can you!

Nothing happens with only wishful thinking, it takes positive thinking and action and time.

  1. There are always obstacles that get in the way of so many things we do. Giving up is not in my nature, but sometimes just sometimes it is hard to remain positive.

  2. I’m be lost my way many times before and the confidence drops. But in time you start to regain that confidence and the positivity follows. I think of what I have achieved on my journey and think of all of the positives that have got me there 😊
