Support…..

You may be wondering exactly what these three items have in common….

BRA BRACES AND BELT

They are all different types of support! We may not have needed all of these in our younger days, but sadly Mother Nature influences our needs as we get older! I’m certain that those of us at that age wouldn’t dream of going without them!! The consequences could be very traumatic!

To be successful at changing our lifestyle, habits, behaviours and size we need all different types of support.

Weekly Meeting – The most obvious and probably the most effective is being able to attend and stay to our weekly meetings, it’s there you will find other like minded, friendly, non judgmental people, together with tactics, tips and strategies to motivate and support you on this incredible journey! In fact many of our members have made true friends since they joined. I’ve always felt, there are no strangers in our meetings only friends we have yet to meet.

Social Media – along side our weekly articles on this website, we are also on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, all you need to do is search for us, like and follow!

Spouse/Partner – Often we expect them to understand our challenges and hurdles without having to say a word!! It could also be said for the many that are constantly on/off a diet our entire life – why would this time be any different and you’ve always given up in the past! Asking for help and acting it it could have a significant impact on your success!

Friends – Some friends are positive influences and some are not! Get to know which ones encourage and support you, and be mindful of developing tactics to divert the less helpful! Remember this is YOUR journey, don’t allow influencers to dissuade you!

There are loads and loads of places to get help and support. Bear in mind the saying “No man is an island”

No-one in your support network is a mind reader despite the expectation that they are!! Don’t expect others to guess what you need, simply tell them! Think Differently….The best support comes from you asking for exactly what help you need.

Ultimately we all want to see results both physically and mentally and we want it the easy way – to do that we have to have support.
