Smile

This week sees the last week of national smile month, so if you’ve not managed to find much to smile about there’s still time to squeeze plenty in!! You probably know that spreading happy vibes is contagious and when you smile at someone 9/10 will return that smile!

That said, remember how it feels when someone smiles at you, even if you’re in the depths of despair, odds are you’ll return that smile which can in turn make you feel just a little bit brighter. Take some time to consider what makes you smile as you go about your day to day lives.

It could be going for a walk, meeting friends for coffee, spending time with your loved ones or pet, or simply listening to upbeat music! In short whatever brings a smile!! Remember doing some activity releases endorphins which boost the happiness factor The Feel Good Factor..

There are so many benefits to staying positive, and whist it’s not always easier if you look a little harder and deeper there will always be something positive to cheer you up. Sadly, as we all know to our cost, there is no comfort to be found in food, it just creates another problem!

The consequence of thinking happy thoughts and smiling means you are more likely to make better food choices which will ultimately make it easier for you to get to where you want to be with your journey

  1. smiling always makes me feel better whether it’s at someone you see while out walking or within the household. My younger son Connor is always making me smile and proud as he’s going through doing his GCSE exams at the moment. 😊

  2. smiles come easy when I’m walking, listening to the bird song, watching the dogs rough and tumble. They come easy when I’m with the grandchildren. As in what’s been written if you smile others will smile with you. Like the flu a smile is infectious 😊😀😁💜
