One Day or Day 1??

It seems to be the majority of people are very busy living the best life today, enjoying all the treasures that life delivers, the luxury food and drink, the endless nights out, the many long weekends and Bank Holidays, the school holidays, social invitations out, the holidays away, in fact there are so many opportunities to over indulge, over and over again!!!!

All winter it’s been said…..

It will be so much easier to focus with lots of summer fruit and salads, conveniently forgetting all over the above and adding in ice-creams, picnics, days out, walks to the pub and BBQ’s!!

But, here it is and nothings changed!!

All of the reasons why you want to be happier, lighter and of course healthier will still be there. But by putting it off until it’s the right time could be burying your head in the sand until all those reasons become overwhelming and you HAVE to make very drastic changes, or face the consequences!! We regularly stress in our meetings the many health benefits that DO come from making healthier food choices and doing regular activity, and I’m confident that one day you WILL get round to it, Round Tuit.. but why not make it Day 1 now and make a start.

The harsh reality is, eating unwisely, making mindless choices is the road to ill health. They can be avoided and by continuing to live for tomorrow rather than face the day will be OUR responsibility.

The main ones being:

  • High Cholesterol
  • Raised Blood Pressure
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Strokes
  • Some Cancers
  • Joint problems

All of these could be waiting for us Tomorrow, if you don’t take action Today. No amount of I wish, If only I’d listened, If only I’d tried harder will make any difference. It may be too late and you will need medical intervention that may also have unwanted side effects!!

Make today DAY 1 and stop waiting for 1 DAY

  1. Thursday 9th November 2017 is my day of day 1. It’s been a smooth journey but after Covid I’ve gone a bit off track sometimes, not consciously just happened, because life happens. Having been 3lbs off goal once I must claw my way back. But the 8 years has been a very well Jackie supported learning curve, long May it curve, downward. So another day 1 starts
