Always a Reason….

I thought this would give us food for thought, and maybe some home truths??

January – My New Years’ resolution’s decided, I just won’t be beaten

As soon as my Christmas leftovers are eaten.

But it’s snowy and cold and I need comfort food

In February I’ll start, when I feel in the mood

February – In March I’ll get started, of that have no fear

I just need to get February over and clear

Too many Valentine’s chocolates then pancakes galore,

In March then I’ll lose 10 lbs that’s for sure.

March – My plan’s gone astray too many excuses have got in the way

But now spring is here so I’ll focus each day

But this month it’s mothering Sunday you know

Still – April is coming – and I’ll have a real go!

April –  Its not as easy as I hoped, kids are off school

Cooking their favourite meals is making me drool

Easter egg chocolates could tempt me I fear

In May I’ll re-start – I WILL do it this Year

May – And now its Bank Holidays with trips and with treats,

If I’m not careful they’ll add lbs to my seat!

The weather is warmer it’s BBQ time,

Still June’s approaching with salads divine

June – The month of June is bright and gay

But when you’re trying to be healthier it gets in the way

I’m not coping to well; my diet’s got the boot

Well July will be easier with our amazing summer fruit.

July –  Summer holidays are here, I’m (hopefully) off to Spain

The few pounds I’ve lost will turn into a gain

Oh well, I’ll try to enjoy it, I will not be glum

I know it’ll be easier when August has come

August – Its so tough to get a positive mind

I start every Monday – but by Tuesday my thoughts aren’t kind

My reasons for starting this I fail to remember

Oh well, never mind – less challenges for me in September!

September – Finally it’s clicked my mojo’s back! yipee!

I’ve managed to lose 4 whole pounds, clever me!

But here comes my birthday with cake I will scoff

I’ll pull it back in October just where I left off

October – I know I can do this come what may

Just as soon as I’m back from my weekend away

Soon as I’ve baked Christmas pud with sultanas and plums

I’ll start in November, well before before Christmas comes

November – Hot dogs and toffee’s have caused a glitch

Jacket Potatoes with butter all make my lips twitch

It’s nearly December – not a word of a lie

I’ll pull it together for one last big try!

December – Why bother being careful I muse

Over Christmas I’ll only regain what I lose

New year resolutions will soon all be here

I’m determined to be more successful ,next year!

Sound familiar???????

There will always be reason not to if you look for it. But It will never be any easier than it is right now…….
