As the summer draws to a close and nights draw in, days are cooler and the sun is losing it’s heat. Fond memories of the school holidays, days out, picnics and bbq’s begin to fade, it may be that you feel a little down – hearted, lost your focus and are finding it difficult to concentrate on your healthy journey, in short lost your reason Y!!!
The harsh truth is that many of us began the journey, not just for the summer holiday, and thinking ahead, aren’t you hoping for another one or more next year??? But shouldn’t it be for our health, happiness and well-being every day? There will always be a reason to look after yourself and actually how much happier will you be if on next years’ summer holidays you feel even more fantastic and can wear everything you want to, without dreading the heat and lack of clothes – no hiding in a robe around the pool or on the beach! In fact it is a good idea to take a few private photographs while you are in your swimwear/underwear as a reminder of how you look now and hopefully that can keep you focused throughout the Autumn/Winter etc.
Healthy eating needs to be an all year round effort!!! Surely there other occasions that you want to look and feel at your very best? Birthdays. Anniversaries, Christmas????

We all have times on this incredible journey where we forget our WHY (the reason we started our journey), it maybe we need a few moments of tough talking to ourselves to rekindle our efforts, dig deep and persevere, as it’s the keeping focused that gets us all where we need to be.
Rediscover foods that are seasonal, relish the memories of the days gone by, but also think forward to those days yet to be, and aim for what you CAN be!

I am actually excited for soup weather to be coming back. I find it an easy, healthy and substantial lunch and you can make so many different flavours. I must try the one everyone raved about last year (if only I could remember what it was!! Something with Brie??)

Very true there’s nothing worse then that feeling of dread before a special occasion or holiday because you haven’t put the work in beforehand. I had this experience on my summer holiday. I didn’t want to shop for clothes because I felt old ugly and fat in everything. In the end I had to chose the things I hated the least. Whilst away I took pics in front of the mirror in my costume and underwear to remind me that I don’t want to be that person

I do love autumn with the leaves falling off the trees and heading out for an evening walk with the hubby and then coming home for snuggles and a cuppa afterwards. Have had some nice soups and stews which I love at this time of year too 😊
It is hard to keep your focus and wander off at times but you have to reflect on how far you have come in your journey and what you want to accomplish 😘
