If you didn’t manage to get focused for the traditional New Year, here’s another opportunity to have a re-start…
This year, the Chinese Lunar New Year falls on Wednesday 29th January., bringing in, not just the Year of the Snake, but a rare and significant combination that only occurs once every 60 years with the element of Wood.
If you were born in: 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, and 2025 then your Chinese zodiac is of the Snake. Only the year of 1965 and this year are Wood Snake. Year of the Rabbit….
2, 8 and 9 are lucky numbers, black, red and yellow are your lucky colours. Orchids and Cacti are your lucky flowers, and East, West and Southwest are lucky directions to head for.
You should avoid numbers 6, 1 and 7 as well as the colours gold, brown and white. Try to avoid going Northwest and Northeast.

The snake is known for it’s wisdom and transformative energy, it’s ability to shed its skin symbolising personal growth and renewal combining that with the wood element symbolizes growth, stability and creativity.
This celestial cycle promises a year filled with renewal, introspection and positive transformations…..
I bet we all pricked our ears up at that!!!
Several Zodiac signs are also found to be lucky in this year, of course the Snake, but also the Rooster, the Ox, the Dragon and the Monkey.
Sadly, some signs are not expected to fayre so well, namely the Pig and the Tiger (and that’s me!)

Some people are passionate about their zodiac signs and character traits within their star sign, but, even if you’re not a big believer, do have a read, I have to say my traits are definitely both our zodiac as well as the Chinese one too
However, I do also believe that you can influence your own future, regardless of a horoscope prediction or personality trait , but knowing that you have a particular predisposition can make working on solutions and subtly changing your response slightly easier. In your Head
If you know you’re a lover of all foods Chinese? Google how to recreate them maybe using lower calorie or healthier alternatives. A fact worth noting, before fast/takeaway food arrived in China they had no obesity!!!
It is in your hands.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling but rising every time we fall
