Your Why?

When it comes to weight, many people want to lose some weight or maintain their present weight, or even to stop gaining weight. However as we age what also is a defining factor is your health. Many of the age related health issues are linked to unhealthy eating habits and lack of regular activity, and often following an indulgent Christmas and New Year are full of enthusiasm to get going!! But is that your real deep-down reason why?

There tends to be a defining moment that makes you decide to act. And those reasons are personal to each and every one of us. Whatever the reason it became so important is the biggest motivator there is to keep going. Write id down and keep it safe, and if you have a wobble it’s there to remind you why!!!!

If it mattered enough to begin your journey, it should matter enough to continue!

Setbacks are part of the journey, they are normal we are human and we make mistakes learning how to accept them and not let them destroy our progress is one of the many skills our meetings at will help you to acquire. Even when you have a setback remembering why you started this journey can help you focus and get back on track. Being accountable is often a crucial part of your journey and that’t the beauty of a weekly meeting! Good, bad or indifferent it’s a way of drawing a line and focusing forward.

Understanding yourself is often the key to making lasting behaviour changes that can then survive any setbacks.

Your reason WHY is the reason you undertook this journey. It’s what matters to you – what keeps you going – both on your journey and in life overall so never forget it! Remember they are only setbacks if you let them defeat you and a more positive way of looking at them is as learning curves. All of life can be considered a learning curve, and we will all have challenges along the way, but it wouldn’t enter our heads to give up trying!! We’d pick ourselves up and have anther try! So why should this be dealt with differently? When we keep writing cheques our body can’t cash it’s time for change!!!
