Summer is officially here!
Many of us wait all year for this magical season looking forward to all the joys that summer brings, the opportunity to wear less layers, brighter colours, relaxing in the sunshine (all the hard work in the garden complete!) Longer, warmer days and nights.
In fact, to borrow a famous quote…
Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.

And to be honest, British summertime can definitely be unpredictable. Watching the weather forecast can leave you wondering if it will ever arrive, or did we miss it? Was it back in April, or will it be in September. It’s important to make the most of whatever the weather brings if not it’s a disappointing season, and we all know what happens to our mindset when we’re not happy!!!!
Take a moment to reflect back on previous summers, what worked for you, and what you found challenging. How could you approach this summer with a positive outlook and mindset. Learning from our mistakes is the very best way to move forward.
If you found holidays challenging, re-visit the the blogs for home and away breaks packed full of tips and inspiration to help keep you motivated and inspired. Consider the things you are most proud of over the last few months, and remind yourself how important it is to continue to build on your success.

Let’s say it’s Ice creams, lollies, Bbq’s, picnics, alcohol, cocktails, making the effort to prepare healthy no cook, or less cooking ideas, you’ll find them all on here, just use the search engine to unlock all the ideas you could wish for – and use them!!! Remember it doesn’t just have to be a lettuce, tomato and cucumber salad!

Summer may be the time when our lifestyles and the places we spend our time change, our behaviours often change, too. By reflecting on and noticing the positive changes we’ve made and what made us feel good over the past few months, we give ourselves the chance to keep them up, and to build on them! This is helpful for future success because research shows that doing things that lead us to feel positive emotions increases our resilience and helps us find new ways to reach our goals. Summer activity can also be different to other seasons, get creative and let’s move more!
Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.
