New Horizons……

How many of us are guilty of sticking with what you already know, or think you know? I know I am in some ways. In the majority my formative years, I always lived in the South of England until aged 14 we moved to the Midlands. When it comes to choosing a holiday in England, I always find myself drawn to the South.

It made me consider that the same is also true of previous weight loss experiences. If you had been successful in the past following, Slimfast, Weightcare, Rosemary Conley, Slimming World or WeighWatchers when it comes to the need to lose weight you tend to think of what worked then, and not considering any other option. You may find yourself justifying your choice, but actually, you probably haven’t considered any other way. The harsh truth is actually, if it was so successful, you would not need to return as you would have kept your weight off.

But sometimes you might be swayed by reading/seeing or talking to someone who IS discovering a New Horizon! And in fact, over the last few weeks I’ve been listening to people who have holidayed in areas of England that I had previously pooh-poohed, so I’ve taken off my rose coloured glasses and am thinking with an unbiased mind as to the benefits of trying somewhere I’ve never been before, so much so I have booked!!!

Rose coloured glasses are never made in bi-focals. Nobody wants to read the small print in dreams.

Could that also be true of our weight loss journey? is it time to make some changes?

Our ethos at is very different, as is our approach to consistent, liveable and sustainable weight loss without the need to be deprived, bored or have any feelings of guilt when things don’t go according to plan. Healthy eating is available to all, it’s as cheap or expensive as you want it to be, it allows for holidays, birthdays, celebrations of every description as you are able to make wise choices around them, meaning you are always in control. What if trying a different approach with an open mind is the secret to you being successful.

If we always do what we always did…… We’ll always get what we always got!!!!

Old ways won’t open new door

  1. It’s always good to try new places. Loved the North, was always put off by the theary always warmer in the south. Its the same with diet but we can try new foods and recipes. We have all the skills and if we stray just get back on the saddle. Keep staying to meetings and face the scales you always feel better when you do.

  2. Not only is it new places or food/recipes, it can be exercise aswell from walking/ running a new route or something different at the gym/home. A complete new workout perhaps. I have recently started doing Pilates (along side running) and love it 😊

  3. Trying new things keeps you on your toes. If you’ve tried and don’t like it then move on to the next thing. One step at a time one food at a time
