This Summer see’s an amazing time for World sporting events, so whatever your game there’s sure to be one that ticks your boxes….

So here’s your timetable…..
- T20 world cup 4th Jun – 30th June
- US open 13th June – 16th June
- Euros 14th June – 14th July
- Wimbledon 1st July – 14th
- Olympics 26th July – 11th August
- Paralympic games 28th august – 8th september
The common denominator with all of these events is activity, and of course to play at international levels requires 100% dedication, commitment, practice and perseverance from the competitors. That doesn’t mean that each training session will go well, it means their trainer/coach reviews each performance and offers strategies and techniques that will enhance their performance, sounding like someone else you know!! Not for them the “it’ll do, or I can’t be bothered today ” attitude that so many of us are afflicted with!!!
Having said that, do we want to be performing at world class level?? Probably not, but does that mean you can’t enjoy a kick around at the park or in the garden with children/grandchildren, or a fun family game of rounders, badminton, tennis, flying a kite, croquet, golf, crazy golf or cricket!! It’s most likely for fun, forgetting that all of these are increased activity which WILL boost your endorphins, raise your metabolic rate, make your heart, lungs and muscles work harder, get you out in the fresh air, make you smile. in fact it really will tick all the boxes, So why not!!!!
For more inspiration why not have a look at this previous blog Ball’s
It’s all too easy to not do anything active at all, but that’s the route to becoming a couch potato, whilst it’s great entertainment watching these events on your TV, plan to do some actual activity around them.
And lastly when the going gets tough or you feel its too much who could fail to be humbled by the Para Olympians, who despite their many challenges, still achieve great success!
Summer sees the perfect time to be more active, achieve a healthy glow, eat well and stay hydrated…..
So what are you waiting for…. The ball’s in your court!!!
Exercise not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood.

This is a great blog. Although I’m not into tv sports I do a lot of activities myself. It always makes me feel much better 😊
