Will 2022 be the year for the New You??

Many of us have been on a personal weight loss battle for as long as we can remember, at school many of us hated P.E simply because of the showers and shorts!! We have tried virtually every diet, homemade and faddy and have been successful in varying degrees depending on the desire at the time to be lighter! I am sure that if you’re reading this you have too!!

For me the major turning point was the realisation that even if I had a totally personalised ‘diet ’plan to follow, it wasn’t something I could do for life, what really needed to change was the way I perceived my journey. I am the expert on the foods that I enjoy, and I know which foods are a healthier choice for me and which I need to eat more of if I want to lose weight, exactly the same with exercise, I know which I enjoy and can commit to regularly, just as I also know how many fad exercise classes I have joined and spent money on!!

Learning new skills, strategies and changing behaviours long term are the key to a happier, healthier and lighter life.

Some people feel that to be successful at losing weight they need structure of some type – a plan to follow – sadly when they stop following a plan – they give up!! An observation from others is that whilst waiting to follow the ‘perfect plan’ or ‘get my head in the game’ extra lbs are piling on giving more issues to deal with at some point. It will never be any easier than it is right now!

Launching ‘Success Lies In Mind’ has given us an opportunity to not only run our own business but also to hold face to face meetings with like-minded people focusing on building these so important skills and strategies for success and giving support and motivation whilst not forgetting that humour and fun are also crucial elements to your successful journey.

You’ll find our meetings are friendly and supportive and whilst we don’t offer a set diet, we do focus on healthy eating, skills, behaviours and strategies guiding you towards making healthier choices, and when you make those choices it will always result in a happier, healthier you for life.

One of the key aspects to focus on is that YOU want to make those choices, it’s not a punishment it’s your choice to become that person you always dreamed you could be!
