Focus Forward

With Easter fast approaching, for how may of us does Easter represent the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring?

Feasting with the Easter Bunny?

Easter

Are you ready to “Spring forward”?

What does Spring indicate to you?

  • New Life
  • New Beginnings
  • Lighter days and nights
  • Focusing on your summer holiday
  • Different clothes
  • Days out
  • Warmer weather
  • Picnics and BBQ’S
  • Socialising
  • Travel

Whatever the onset of Spring means to you, it’s often a good time to consider where you are on your journey, what habits and strategies are working for you, and what isn’t, take stock of what you want to achieve and exactly how you are going to make it happen. Need to increase your hydration? Be more active? You need to have a plan – what, when and how often – there’s no quick fix with this. Make sure you are having at least 5 a day fruit and vegetables – make them interesting, varied and nice, eating a healthy and balanced diet – new recipes and ideas. In short all the things we know will give us a fighting chance of a happier, healthier and lighter future!!

It’s time to look back and reflect on all the things we wish we’d done last year, and take action to make sure we are moving forward this year, learn from how we felt and what we could do differently. If you want 2023 to look better, Spring is the best place to start. Spring clean those nasty bad habits we’ve allowed to creep in during the winter months. Make a start, decide your tactics and move forward. Time never stands still, so if you want this year to different then you need to take action. Or it’s anther “if only and I wish!!” All too quickly it will be Summer…don’t delay and don’t be found wanting!!

Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.

  1. We certainly eat enough fruit and veg. I usually eat 2 apples and an orange every day plus steamed fresh veg with dinner and more often than not salad for lunch. We also have fruit with breakfast most days.

  2. Love this post. With the days and nights being lighter it gives me the feeling of happier days. I love spring and knowing that summer is just around the corner. I’m enjoying my salads at the moment and then a lovely fruit salad for after.

  3. I too eat plenty of fruit and veg and try to get a good variety. I still need to drink more water but I’m working on that with the glass by the kettle trick from a few posts ago.

  4. I definitely need to spring clean and get rid of bad habits that have crept in. Spring makes me realise there are some nice summer dresses I want to fit in to before long!!
