The night after Christmas…

It’s when all the cards and presents, bought with so much care, have been successfully delivered and gratefully received. All the careful shopping, planning and preparation have been executed with military precision to everyone’s satisfaction and delight. Then you can put your feet up and pat yourselves on the back for another magical Christmas delivered and complete!!

Time to relax and unwind, but not your efforts!!!

It can seem that the week after Christmas and before New Year is a bit like being in no mans land. You’ve had plenty of luxury food, indulged in the extra’s you’d normally refuse, guzzled plenty of liquid (probably not water lol)

Nothing in the house seems to tick the box, and to be honest, the mindset could be, what’s the point in starting being mindful and focused till after the New Year celebrations!!!!

Twas the night after Christmas and all through the house…..

However, just imagine what a difference it could make to your confidence and positivity if you decided that the day after Boxing Day you were going to refocus and try to minimise the damage that Christmas may have caused. Get back into drinking plenty of water (give your liver and kidneys a break!!) 3 meals a day – NO snacking (give your stomach and bowels a well earned rest!!) Go for a long walk and get those joints moving again.

Not only will doing all of these make you feel better, you’re already developing the skills that a naturally slim person has, pressing the OFF button and resetting!.

Allowing yourself to enjoy the luxury food and drink over Christmas will not have long term negative effects, not drawing a line WILL!! And drawing the line sooner rather than later will always minimise any damage Need or Greed…

  1. I’m getting back on track with food and drink from today but the weather is so awful it doesn’t make you feel like getting out for some exercise.

  2. I know that I’m away at the weekend but trying to have 2-3 good days will hopefully help to minimise the weight gain this year xx
